A leading European Data Centre delivery partner is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to join a major hyperscale data centre project in Finland.
This is a senior site-based leadership role, reporting to the EHS Lead and playing a critical part in ensuring all works are delivered in full compliance with the Safety Management System, statutory legislation, and best-practice standards. You will lead the EHS function on site, drive a positive safety culture, and work closely with senior project stakeholders on a large, complex, mission-critical project.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee full project compliance with the Safety Management System
- Develop, implement and maintain Construction Stage Health & Safety Plans
- Prepare, analyse and present H&S performance reports and KPIs to senior management
- Ensure compliance with all Environmental, Health & Safety statutory requirements and legislation
- Implement and manage PSCS Environmental, Health & Safety Plans
- Oversee method statements, risk assessments, Safe Plans of Action (SPA) and permit-to-work systems
- Monitor compliance with the Project Execution Plan and safety standards
- Promote and embed a strong, positive safety culture across the project
- Manage COSHH assessments and ensure effective control of hazardous substances
- Ensure safety observations, interventions and corrective actions are recorded and closed out
- Lead regular site inspections and audits, driving corrective actions to completion
- Maintain accurate statutory inspection records and documentation
- Proactively identify, assess and mitigate EHS risks
- Ensure subcontractor compliance with company and project EHS policies
- Coordinate EHS inductions, training programmes and PPE provision
- Lead and support incident and accident investigations with timely reporting
Requirements
- Degree-qualified in Environmental, Health & Safety or a related discipline
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience managing EHS on large-scale construction projects
- Data Centre or mission-critical project experience highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of Irish and EU Health & Safety legislation
- Proven ability to lead EHS delivery on complex construction sites
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Strong MS Office and EHS reporting system capability
- Proactive, flexible and collaborative working approach
