A leading international engineering and construction organisation is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to support the delivery of large-scale, complex construction projects in Belgium.

This is a senior, site-based role offering the opportunity to influence safety culture, provide strategic EHS leadership, and work closely with clients and project leadership teams in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

You will be responsible for the governance, leadership and continuous improvement of Environmental, Health & Safety performance across assigned projects. The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on engagement to ensure the highest standards of compliance, assurance and behavioural safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and implement project-specific construction phase EHS programmes
• Ensure compliance with local legislation, client requirements and internal standards
• Drive behavioural safety initiatives and continuous improvement
• Manage audits, inspections, incident investigations and corrective actions
• Produce EHS performance reports, dashboards and trend analysis
• Act as the primary EHS interface with clients, contractors and senior stakeholders

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in a dedicated EHS role within construction or industrial environments
• NEBOSH or equivalent recognised health & safety qualification
• Strong working knowledge of EHS legislation and management systems
• Proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
• Fluent in English (Dutch or French highly advantageous)
• Comfortable operating in a dynamic, site-based project environment
