A leading European data centre delivery specialist is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to join its project delivery team on major hyperscale data centre developments across Europe.

This is a senior site-based role with responsibility for managing critical electrical construction activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with the Project Team, QA, Package Managers, and subcontractors to support the successful delivery and close-out of complex, mission-critical projects.

The Role
As Electrical Construction Manager, you will take ownership of electrical construction delivery on site, driving performance across quality, safety, labour planning, programme control, and subcontractor management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage site Quality Assurance in coordination with the QA Manager, ensuring works meet project and company standards
  • Oversee the project schedule with the Project Team and prepare two-week look-ahead programmes
  • Plan and maintain labour resources in line with project requirements
  • Supervise subcontractor activities, tracking progress against schedules and manpower plans
  • Identify and report all variations, delays, and risks to Project Management
  • Verify plant and material deliveries against specifications and ensure safe storage on site
  • Support project close-out, including O&M manuals, punch lists, safety files, QA documentation, and material handovers
  • Enforce Health & Safety compliance and promote safe working practices
  • Drive continuous safety improvement and maintain high housekeeping standards
  • Complete weekly “Don’t Walk By” safety observations
  • Collaborate with Package Managers to develop and implement company procedures
  • Manage change control, ensuring cost and programme impacts are captured and addressed

Requirements

  • Relevant Electrical qualification (City & Guilds, HNC/BTEC, NVQ, or equivalent) – essential
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical construction management or a similar role
  • Background in large-scale projects such as data centres, industrial, pharmaceutical, or mission-critical facilities
  • Strong knowledge of LV/MV electrical systems, QA processes, and safety compliance
  • Proven experience managing subcontractors, labour, schedules, and costs
  • Experience with change control, variations, and project reporting
  • Proficiency in MS Project or similar scheduling tools
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong commitment to Health & Safety and fostering a positive safety culture
