About the Opportunity

We’re partnering with an exciting AI start-up that’s transforming how mid-sized enterprises automate complex business processes.
Their platform enables organisations to securely connect AI with existing enterprise systems, allowing business requests to be translated into compliant, auditable system actions across ERP, CRM, document management and workflow platforms.

As an early-stage business with strong investor backing and ambitious growth plans, they’re looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to play a key role in customer delivery, product development and technical innovation.
The Role This is a highly technical, customer-facing engineering position where you’ll bridge the gap between product development and enterprise deployment.
You’ll work closely with customers to integrate the platform into complex IT environments while helping shape scalable deployment frameworks that can be reused across future implementations.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure AI solutions within enterprise customer environments.
• Integrate with ERP, CRM, document management systems, databases and custom APIs.
• Analyse and map complex business processes into secure, automated workflows.
• Design scalable integration frameworks and reusable deployment templates.
• Collaborate closely with the product and engineering teams, providing technical feedback from live customer implementations.
• Produce technical documentation and deployment best practices for customers and strategic partners.
• Support enterprise clients throughout implementation and ongoing adoption.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong Python development experience and modern backend engineering skills.
• Excellent understanding of APIs including REST, GraphQL and gRPC.
• Experience integrating enterprise platforms such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, CRM or document management systems.
• Practical knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering and workflow orchestration.
• Good understanding of enterprise security, GDPR and secure software design.
• Experience working in solutions engineering, technical consulting or customer implementation roles.
• Fluent German and English communication skills.
• A proactive mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities and a willingness to travel within Germany when required.
