Grid Manager – Battery Storage – Germany (€170,000–€190,000 + benefits)
Uneek has partnered with an established international investor-operator within the energy and infrastructure sector that is expanding its portfolio of grid-scale energy projects across multiple European markets and beyond. The organisation works closely with regional development partners to originate, deliver, and operate assets, maintaining a long-term ownership strategy.
We are recruiting for a Grid Manager to take ownership of grid connection and compliance activities for utility-scale energy projects in Germany, while contributing to projects in other regions when required.
This role is central to ensuring successful grid integration, covering the full process from connection agreements through to compliance validation and commercial operation readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end grid compliance process for large-scale battery storage projects in Germany
- Interpret and apply national grid requirements, technical codes, and compliance frameworks
- Engage with Transmission and Distribution System Operators, as well as external engineering advisors
- Manage technical submissions, studies, and compliance testing processes
- Monitor project progress, proactively addressing risks and maintaining delivery timelines
- Act as the main point of contact for all grid-related interfaces
- Contribute to broader portfolio activities by sharing insights and best practices
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience in grid connection, compliance, or power systems, ideally within the German market
- Familiarity with working alongside grid operators, consultants, or developers
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of German grid connection procedures and regulatory requirements
- Good understanding of power systems, grid studies, and electrical infrastructure
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and navigate complex project environments
- Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented approach
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Fluent in German and English
