Mechanical Engineer – Manufacturing & Product Development – £65,000 – Reading (Hybrid)
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a leading engineering and technology business delivering innovative products and infrastructure solutions across the UK. The role will focus on the mechanical design, development, and deployment of complex engineering systems supporting large-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead mechanical design activities across product development and engineering projects
- Support engineering and manufacturing teams with thermal management, structural integrity, and design optimisation
- Collaborate with electrical, software, and production teams to ensure successful end-to-end project delivery
- Review technical specifications, drawings, and compliance requirements
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across design, testing, and manufacturing processes
- Provide technical guidance to internal stakeholders, contractors, and customers throughout project lifecycles
What We Are Looking For:
- Proven experience within mechanical engineering roles in manufacturing, engineering, or technology-driven environments
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Experience working with CAD tools and engineering documentation
- Knowledge of thermal management, product housings, or mechanical systems would be advantageous
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced delivery environments
